KERLEY Family History
This most interesting name with variant spellings Kerley, Turley, Terry and McTerrelly, found particularly in the counties of Galway and Roscommon, is an Anglicized form of the Gaelic name "Mac Thoirdealbhoigh". This is composed of the Gaelic prefix "mac", meaning "son of", and the personal name "Toridhealbhach", having as its first element the Scandinavian name "Thor" (God of Thunder) and the second element "dealbhach", "in the shape of". The name has also been Anglicized as "Terence" and "Terry".Select Audience

Keith Kerley
Iโm Keith Kerley living in Dorset, any relatives in Ireland ?

Lucie Kerley
My late Nana Patricia Josephine Kerley (nee O'Connor) b. March 1 1932 d. 20/02/21 from Limerick (lived in Limerick and then moved to Rosbrien, and later Cheshire in England was married to John Augustine Kerley.
Both the O'Connor and the Kerley family members worked at Rank's Flour Mill, Limerick.
My Nana, Patricia and her sisters Maura and Bridget O'Connor worked at Limerick Clothing Factory.
I have been given the names of Edward Street, Limerick Lane, and William Street. And told they lived not far from Patrick Punch's pub. Families nearby were Healy, Close, O'Neill, Butler and Moran.
I'd love to connect with anyone who thinks they might have more info about my Irish family Heritage or thinks they might be related. A link to my Ancestry Family tree is here: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ancestry.com%2Ffamily-tree%2Fpt%2FRSVP.aspx%3Fdat%3DMjE3ODQ2ODU7OzAxOGRhYjkyLTAwMDItMDAwMC0wMDAwLTAwMDAwMDAwMDAwMDsyMDIxMDMwNDAxNDE1NjszMjc2OQ%253D%253D%26mac%3Dd6EC945Xnr0SzKX7Ff7iIg%253D%253D%26fbclid%3DIwAR1had9Dgshm-i8PIMBInOzQBZXAt9alwtwwK2SnP69As-QenqofucTTDIU&h=AT2dK36QVQXZ4jBUNvJ0TQT4RvwNldo0M-MFWufZLqRNl_EvQO0qMVsoXzXf-maOm24RVTRGNq-rYho6UuqGhFVMvcsUNJu4ikDFYG_5pZhOqpKy3Hi7sE8pZZKQqImbQ130K9o

Descendant Kerley
I am a descendant from Kerley family. My ancestors moved to America and settled in the Wisconsin area as farmers and had 6 children(circa. 1840 about). They hailed from Co limerick, also. Their names were John and Margarett. They were buried by one Edward Maloney. So, my great Grandmother may have been a maiden Maloney. I have no way to know their parents' names. So, I have not been able to further my research beyond 6 generations and am also looking to fill in the family lines so that I can build my tree back as far as recorded information will let me. How awesome would it be to find a cousin maintaining the Kerley surname!
